This is called a SLAPP lawsuit. It’s intended to quash news reports. Coming from the federal government to the press it’s a clear violation of freedom of the press. Fox News has been pushing the story of Hillary Clinton selling uranium to the Russians, a story that was debunked by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), where no Uranium was licensed for sell nor licensed for transport to Russia and any such action requires the approvals from 9 different government agencies as well as the President and the NRC. The story is bogus, yet no lawsuit was filed. It is clear Trump has dictator like demands that the press only report what makes him look good.
